I think the most important lesson to be learned is that members of bioethics committees are normal human beings. By this I mean to say that they show typical human behavior when confronted with something they do not fully understand.

Scientists are no Gods and never will be. Biotechnology will never lead to salvation; diseases and death will always be part of human existence. Aging is not a “genetic disease”, it is part of life. No mouse will change that.
